ZOMBI: Remix Contest Posted Online

Relapse has issued the following update:

ZOMBI and Self-Titled Magazine are currently running a contest where fans can remix a ZOMBI track for a chance to win prizes from Relapse Records, SoundCloud, and more. The contest started this weekend and runs until June 10th, and in that time fans are encouraged to download the stem tracks of ZOMBI’s “Slow Oscillations” to remix into their own creation. One grand prize winner will receive a pro SoundCloud account for one year, a remix of an original track by ZOMBI’s Steve Moore, the band’s Escape Velocity on limited edition clear vinyl and CD, the out of print ZOMBI Anthology CD, and a ZOMBI t-shirt and poster. Prizes will also be awarded to three runner-up contestants as chosen by the band. Complete contest details can be found here.

ZOMBI’s brand new album Escape Velocity is set for a May 23rd 2011 international release date. The album is streaming in its entirety online now at Rock-A-Rolla.com. ZOMBI are also the cover stars of the April/May 2011 print issue of Rock-A-Rolla. The cover can be seen at this location and is on newsstands now as well as available online here.

Escape Velocity, the follow-up to 2009’s Spirit Animal, was recorded in part by ZOMBI’s Steve Moore and A.E. Paterra in Pittsburgh, PA and Nyack, NY. The album was mastered by Denis Blackham (THE WHO, LED ZEPPELIN, WILSON PICKETT, KRAFTWERK) at Skye Mastering in Scotland. Escape Velocity also features artwork courtesy of Jeremy Schmidt (BLACK MOUNTAIN).
