The Danish one day festival Day Of Decay, which is set to be held the 16th July in Aalborg, Denmark, has announced additional two acts to their bill. The Danish tech-metal band THE INTERBEING and the local party rock n’ metal band 9000JOHN DOE.
Festival organizer Carsten Brogaard, made the following comment on the update:
“We previously announced that the winner of W:O:A Metal Battle Denmark, would be guaranteed a spot on the line-up for Day Of Decay, the winners are a young and talented band Aphyxion. But unfortunatelly Aphyxion cannot play on the 16th July due to some other engagements, which we of couse are sad to hear, but nevertheless we wish the band the best of luck in the finals at Wacken Open Air.
But instead we are proud to announce that the very promising Copenhagen based tech-metal / futuristic metal band THE INTERBEING will be performing at Day Of Decay. The band will release their new album “Edge Of The Obscure” the 2th may in Denmark, and in july/august through Mighty Music / Target Distribution. The band has already made themselves noticed, being nominated for the talent award at Danish Metal Awards in 2008 for their demo “Perceptual Confusion”. And later awarded the title “band of the week” on Bandbase.dk. THE INTERBEING also won the price of best metal act at Underground Music Awards and the best band at Royal Metal Grand Prix.
The second band in this announcement is the local party rock n’ metal band 9000 JOHN DOE, which will start the festival with some dirt, raw and crazy tunes. 9000 John Doe have had a long hiatus, due to the lack of a permanent drummer. Now the band is once again full numbered and is currently recording their next release with the title “Roll With It, Or Get Rolled Over”. This will be the bands first concert in over a year.
Keep following the website www.dayofdecay.dk for more updates, as there will soon be announced a headliner and even more bands, as well as ticket sales etc.“
