Due to "circumstances beyond the band's control," German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION have been forced to postpone their previously announced South American dates. The group's manager, Jeff Keller, says in a statement, "Unfortunately, there were multiple issues, most notably regarding travel logistics, that have forced us to reschedule these dates. All six of the previously scheduled dates will now be moved to the month of August.
"Our apologies to our South American fans who had planned to attend the shows this month. The band is looking forward to August, and we are very pleased that all six shows were able to be successfully moved."
Adds DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer: "I am really bummed out about that bureaucratic bullshit while I m sitting here on my luggage, ready to take off! At least all shows will still happen, though, and are just moved back a bit to August!
"Sorry, folks, but nobody is more disappointed than myself. Latin America became my second home in the last years. The passion for metal there is the real deal!"
